Dog parenting 101

UUR understands that most of us believe we know how to be a responsible dog parent.  We also know that it can be different than we believe, especially for those dogs who have been languishing in shelters or on the street for way too long.  As parents to these dogs, and to create a well-functioning human/dog pack, we need to become excellent observers of the signals dogs send us to let us know when they are relaxed, when they are anxious, when they need space, and so on.  We all had to learn these things, often the hard way, and we want to make certain that families who choose to foster or adopt from UUR have all the skills they need to make that successful pack and really ENJOY being pet parents.  In addition to periodic posts here that will address a range of topics, we will offer classes BEFORE adoption or fostering to help you be a successful and happy human in your pack!  Classes will be scheduled throughout the year, and advertised on the website, through Facebook, and through an email marketing tool.
